The Stations of the Cross may be viewed from 6 to 7 p.m. every Friday through April 11 and on April 17. The Stations of the Cross retraces the steps of Jesus from the time of his sentence to crucifixion to the placing of his body in the tomb. There are 14 stations that are recognized, and each station focuses on something that took place on the journey from Pilate’s residence to the tomb. Each station has been portrayed in an original piece of artwork, done by a member of the congregation, and an accompanying booklet offers devotions, Scripture readings and prayers that relate to each station. SC3, the Shelby County Community Children's Choir, will present its Beatles concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. The choir is directed by James Ray Morgan. The Outreach Committee meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The CWF will have tables up March 23 and will officer cutlery, pecans, brooms, baked goods and homemade pimento cheese and Benedictine for sale. Build-A-Bed targets a very specific and often neglected community, the working poor. Many Kentucky children are living in homes with not enough beds or none at all. The mission of the Morehead Build-A-Bed project is to ensure that 75 children are guaranteed a proper place to sleep in their home. Along with a handmade twin bed and mattress, each child gets a bedtime bag which includes a sheet set, comforter/quilt, a book, alarm clock or night light, stuffed animal and a hygiene kit.
