Centenary Methodist
Men's small group meets 7:45 a.m. Saturday. On Sunday, following both services, the Mission Team sponsors a chili cook-off as a fundraiser for the Ramp Projects and Victory Baptist "God's Kitchen." First and second place will receive a donation for their charity. Hot dogs and pie/ice cream will be available. Quilters meet 1 p.m. Wednesday. Children's Department celebrates with a St. Patrick's Day party on Wednesday. Membership Care monthly meeting is 7 p.m. Thursday. Junior High will have a lock-in Friday at the FAC while preschool, kindergarten and first grades have a pajama party at the church starting at 6-8 p.m. Kids Korner's March Madness will be 10-noon March 19. Young at Heart Adult Club will have a St. Patrick's Day party 6:30-8 p.m. March 19. There will be refreshments, games and storytelling for 60 years and older.

Centennial Baptist
March is Women's Month, and the theme is "women worshipping, watching, working in our walk with God." Speakers for the month at the 11 a.m. service will be minister Twana Johnson, deacon Ada Blackburn, Claudia Burley and Jessica Jones.

Clay Village Baptist
Easter lilies can be purchased in memory or in honor of someone for placement in the sanctuary during the Easter season. Contact Peggy Puckett at 633-2075 or puckettpeggy@bellsouth.net. The Fifth Sunday evening services will be May 29 with Blend as the entertainment.

Cropper Baptist
Deacons meet 4 p.m. Sunday; monthly business meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. B.A.L.L. Group luncheon is Monday. A youth event is scheduled for Friday and March 19. Contact Shannon Osten for details. Cub and Girl Scouts meet 6 p.m. every Monday. The church food pantry needs donations to restock canned meats, crackers, hot and cold cereals, pasta and baked beans. The pantry provides food items to families in the community who need help; contact the church if assistance is needed.

Father's Love
A fundraiser lunch and dinner is Thursday. The cost of the meal is $6 for lunch, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and $7 for dinner, 4-7 p.m. Eat in, carry out, or delivery may be possible. Finchville Baptist
Youth and kids camp will be hosting a lunch and will be accepting donations as a fundraiser after the morning worship service on March 20. This outreach is for all women of the church, whether you can sew or not. Blankets of all kinds will be made, from quilting to simple fleece tied. First Baptist Shelbyville
"Complete the Journey" begins Sunday for the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services and continues through April 17 (Palm Sunday). The Crestview devotional is 2 p.m. Nickolai Syrovatko, evangelist and church planter from Russia, will be in Shelby County beginning March 19. First Christian
The CWF continues to collect hearing aid batteries for recycling.

First Presbyterian
This Sunday is Love Sunday. Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected -  small stuffed animals, items for the Backpack Program, toiletry items and bedding for A Place to Sleep as well as cash donations for our outreach ministries. The Outreach Committee meets at 9 a.m. Sunday. Good Grief will gather for lunch at Wendy's Restaurant following worship. Arriba Ninos tutoring begins at 6 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church and will meet each Monday evening in March. Girl Scouts meet 6 p.m. Monday. Articles for The First Word are due by noon Tuesday. Cub Scouts meet 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays. The Adult Choir will rehearse 7:15 p.m. Wednesday. Lunch will be served at God's Kitchen on Thursday. Have desserts at the church by 10 a.m., and volunteers should arrive at Victory Baptist by 11 a.m. The Women's evening Bible study group will gather 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Childcare and dinner will be provided. Boy Scouts meet 7 p.m. Thursdays.

Highland Baptist
The Lord's Supper will be Sunday. Adult choir retreat is 9 a.m.-2 p.m. March 19. Celebrating the completion of the fifth season of Upward Basketball is 6:30 p.m. Monday. AARP free tax help is offered Mondays and Thursdays during March and April. For more information call Marvin Rogers (633-3665).

Salem Baptist
The Night Baptist Women meets 7 p.m. Friday at the home of Anna Ruth Hammond. The bicentennial celebration will continue on Sunday with Karl Babb as the special guest for the morning worship service. Babb served as Salem's interim pastor June through December 2000. He and his wife, Susan, served as missionaries to the Philippines. He now serves as Team Leader for the leadership development team of the Kentucky Baptist Convention. A potluck meal will follow the worship service.

Seventh Day Adventist
The church is located at 4401 Frankfort Road, and the concert is free.

Simpsonville Christian
A new Bible study for couples begins Sunday immediately following church. Lunch will be provided. The title is "Experiencing God as Couples" It will cover eight topics. We will meet the first Sunday of each month in the fellowship hall for lunch, fellowship and study. The last topic Sunday, a 2-day retreat, is being planned. Interested couples are urged to call the church at 722-8995 before Sunday.

Simpsonville Methodist
Hartz to Hearts Quilters meet at 10 a.m. on Fridays. For information, call the church office 722-8962. Girl Scouts meet 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in fellowship hall. Methodist Men's breakfast is at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall. Methodist United Women meets 10 a.m. March 19 for call to prayer and self denial.
