Centenary United Methodist
Centenary welcomes Rev. Willard Knipp and wife, Julie and three children as their new church family. Sunday will begin Knipp's transition to Centenary. Mission Team will host the Victory Baptist Church lunch at 11:30 a.m.-noon on Tuesday. Centenary's Youth Fellowship will enjoy "Cheap Day" at 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Youth will need to bring a sack lunch. Quilters meet at 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Centenary's children' summer program for ages preschool through fifth grades will gather for a pajama and cooking night at 6:30-7:45 p.m. Wednesday. Shannon Boaz, who has served Centenary as associate pastor for several months, has been appointed to minister to Mount Tabor UMC at Crestwood.

The “Amazing Wonders Aviation” vacation Bible school will be 6:15-9 p.m. Sunday through Friday. There are classes for children who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade. The church’s monthly business meeting has been moved to Wednesday. The Prayer Shawl Ministry is hosting a baby shower for the Florence Crittenden Home through Sunday. Items needed are bottles, formula, diapers, wipes and clothing. Open gym in the ROC for all ages will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays. Twenty-five students and adults will go on a mission trip to St. Louis on July 14-21. They will prepare most of their meals. A list of items needed for the trip is available at the church.
Holy Cross Lutheran
Vacation Bible school will be at 6-8:30 p.m. July 9–13. This year's theme is “Amazing Desert Journey.” There will be crafts, music, snacks, games and Bible stories. Living Waters Church
Sean Ellis, missionary to Taiwan, will speak at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The youth will meet with Pastor Josh in the fellowship hall at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Pathfinders, the youth group, will have a yard sale and car wash at 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at the church. Cars will be washed for a donation and proceeds from the car wash and yard sale go to finance Pathfinder activities. Pathfinders offer a wide range of activities including but not limited to camping and camping/survival skills, leadership training, activities promoting community pride, interactive training in a variety of recreational, artistic, nature, conservation, vocational and outreach areas, with honors given for successful completion of the interactive training modules.
