Centenary United Methodist
For the fourth Sunday after Pentecost, the pastor will deliver the message, "Instagram: Seeing a Clearer Picture" from the social media sermons. The Methodist Women will sponsor a bake sale following the worship services. A special men's choir, honoring fathers, will be presented at the 11 a.m. worship on Sunday. The Ladies Lunch Bunch will have a surprise place to travel to for lunch on Tuesday, leaving the church at 11:30 a.m. Children's ministry will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and youth fellowship meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rockbridge UMC will begin a Bible study series on God’s act of creation at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The study is built on curriculum from the Creation Museum in Hebron and covers such topics as worldview foundations, Biblical translation, evolution, natural selection, radiometric dating, geology and biology. The study is free and open to the public. This is an adult Bible study, but students in junior high and up are welcomed. The Bible study takes place in the basement fellowship hall.
