FCC also is collecting used hearing-aid batteries, box tops, Campbell’s labels, eyeglasses, plastic bags from Kroger, Walmart, etc., coupons either current or expired, canceled postage stamps, pop tops from aluminum cans for mission projects. Kroger gift cards may be purchased from the church. Each time a card is purchased or reloaded, the church earns 4 percent. The cards make excellent gifts. After a potluck supper, we will provide a gathering of an attorney of elder law, a social worker who helps navigate Medicaid requirements and care for the caregiver, a home health representative, an expert on end of life and funerary planning, a hospice representative, a professional in geriatric medicine and a representative in available community services such as daycare and meals-on-wheels. The potluck starts at 5:30 p.m. and the panel for questions and answers will end at 7 p.m. Spread the word and bring anyone who may have need of such a forum.
