Burks Branch Baptist

Acteens will meet again beginning Wednesday at 6 p.m. with a pizza party kickoff. Regular services will follow with Young Musicians at 6:20, prayer meeting at 6:30 and choir practice at 7 p.m. Contribution reports are available and can be found on the table at the church entrance. It's a great way to keep up with current events, prayer requests and updates.

Centenary United Methodist

Matt Bell, director of student ministries, will deliver the message at both 8:48 and 11 a.m. services on Sunday. Holy Communion will be served Sunday at both services. Children's worship or moment will not take place during either service Sunday. Finchville Baptist

The church is hosting Boy Scout Troop 137’s gospel sing and chili supper at 5-8 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $5 for all-you-can-eat chili and entertainment by local gospel singers. Profits from the event will fund the troop’s high adventure trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and summer camp at Camp Crooked Creek. Tickets are available at the door. The cost will be $13 plus fast food afterwards. The Redeemer tour “Big Daddy Weavewill be at 6:30 p.m. March 9 at Cornerstone Christian Academy. Meet at the church at 5 p.m. Make the $10 reservation by March 3 with Davey. A fish fry and silent auction will be March 23 as a fundraiser for the Guatemala Mission team. Silent auction donations from local area businesses, artists and offices are being accepted. The team will accept donations for cakes and pies to be auctioned. Ticket sales for the fish fry will be available Feb. 10 after church. The missions and Guatemala teams would like to have your treasures as you begin your spring cleaning. A yard sale will be held in April, so as you begin going through your closets and garages, remember to bring your items to church, and they will be stored until the sale. The collection begins Sunday and will continue until April 19. The van will leave the church at 11 a.m. The youth will sponsor a chili cookoff from 5 to 7 p.m. March 3. The church is a collection site for Edge Outreach Shoes for Water. Donations of new, and used shoes to Edge Outreach create clean drinking water for people in need. Shoes of all types are acceptable – from flip-flops to high heels, from boots to football cleats. FCC is also collecting used hearing aid batteries, coupons – current or expired, cancelled postage stamps, pop tops from aluminum cans and current magazines for mission projects. First Presbyterian

We will be collecting soup with pop-tops on Super Bowl Sunday. The soup will be used in our own food pantry for those walk-ins who stop by and also shared with the Backpack Program. Cast a vote for your favorite team by placing your soups in the appropriate box in the Assembly Room. Good Grief will gather for lunch following Sunday's worship service. Check with Barbara Troyer or Norma Beasey for the location. Arriba Ninos Tutoring program begins its spring session on Monday starting with dinner. Fellowship dinner is this Sunday. An administrative counsel meeting is at 1 p.m., following the meal. The church family will reach out to the community through several projects this year.
