Holiday services, schedules

Allen Chapel
The church is located on 55 South in Finchville.

Bagdad Baptist
The adult choir practice is 8 p.m. on Wednesdays; the youth choir is practicing at 5:45 p.m. on Sundays. Both are preparing special music and working on the Christmas programs.

Centenary Methodist
Because of school's winter break there will be no Children's Moment or CYF activities Sunday evening. All Wednesday evening activities for this week will be canceled including the catered meal. All articles to be included in the monthly CrossTalk newsletter should be submitted by noon on Wednesday. Centenary senior high ski trip is scheduled for Jan. 13-14, 2012. Other events and details are announced in the youth office or church’s Web site.

Christiansburg Baptist

First Baptist Shelbyville

First Christian
Sunday School and the early worship service will resume at their normal times on New Year's Day. The office will be closed Monday and Jan. 2. Kroger gift cards may be purchased from the church. The prayer chapel is open during normal office hours, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, for anyone seeking a quiet place to pray. The early service begins at 9 a.m. in the chapel, and the 11 a.m. service is in the sanctuary. Rev. Dave Charlton leads both worship services. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m., and there are classes available for all ages. A nursery is available during Sunday school and the 11 a.m. worship service. The church is located at 1000 Eminence Pike.

First Presbyterian
The church office will be closed today. The church will continue to collect 7-inch x 9-inch knitted or crocheted blocks for Warm Up America. Place your blocks in the box in the assembly room. The Super Fan Canned Food Drive is on. Every non-perishable food item counts as one vote. Cast your vote by placing items in your team's box (UL, UK or all other schools). The winner will be decided in mid-January. These items go to replenish the Outreach Committee's food pantry.

Graefenburg Baptist

Greater Tabernacle Baptist

Living Waters
The Fervent Life Youth Conference will be Thursday and Friday, with three meetings per day. It will feature the Fervent Life Worship Team from The Ark in Florence, Ala., and it is open to everyone, especially youth groups.
