Bagdad Baptist
The youth will shop for a Christmas family at 5 p.m. Saturday and will go to Homestead in New Castle at 2 p.m. Sunday. The church is located at 5790 Elmburg Road in Bagdad.

Burks Branch Baptist
The WMU will have "Cookies for Lottie" for purchase during the morning worship service Sunday to raise money for the mission offering. The church will feed the men at the Open Door of Hope Men's Shelter on Dec. 22. Check with Autumn or Steve if you can supply a dish. Regular services will be held Wednesday evening and a choir practice will be held following the Sunday morning worship service. The youth’s mission trip will be July 20-27. Kroger gift cards are available for purchase for $5 to be refilled and reused as you shop, and the mission trip receives a percentage of your purchase. Sunday services start with Sunday school at 9:50 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m.

Centenary United Methodist
Kids Korner will take place from 10 a.m. till noon Saturday. It is the intent of this program that children are given food, love and hope, and lives are changed and treats to be enjoyed. Children's Ministry will present their annual Children's Christmas Program at the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. The Children's Christmas Mission Project is collecting various hygiene items for the Kentucky Methodist Home for Children in Versailles. Items should be donated by Sunday and placed in the specific boxes in the children's area. Donations of gift cards from Walmart or Kroger are also needed. There will be no evening programming from Wednesday through Jan. 2. The Wednesday Evening Bible Study Program will resume on Jan. 9. Children's Ministry will have their Christmas gathering showing a movie and eating pizza from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Worship Team will meet for a planning session at 10 a.m. Monday. Because of the Church's Christmas break, the Youth Fellowship has announced information about an upcoming event, the Jr. High Ski Trip, grades six through eighth, for Perfect North Slope. The information can be obtained from the Youth Minister.

Church services begin Sunday morning, with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m., worship at 11 and evening services at 6. Wednesday night prayer meeting/youth meetings are at 6:30. Clay Street Missionary Baptist

Clayvillage Baptist
The youth will go to Christmas Town on Saturday. The choir will be joining the choir of Brownsboro Baptist Church for the Christmas musical at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.The church is located at 46 Lawson Lane.

Cropper Baptist
The choir will present its Christmas Cantata Sunday morning. The student Christmas Party is Sunday; contact Pastor Joey for details. Candlelight service is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday; Church Council meets following the service. No evening services are scheduled for Dec. 23. The annual “Gospel Music Extravaganza” is planned for 6 p.m. Dec. 30; tickets are $10 per person and are available from David Martin or at the door. The church pantry needs donations of food items to assist families in need. The church is a registered Red Cross emergency relief shelter and is open to the community in times of need.

Dover Baptist
Sunday services begin with Sunday school at 9:50 a.m. and worship service at 11. The church is still accepting donations to help two needy families for Christmas.

Elmburg Baptist

Finchville Baptist
The Java Shop is open to begin raising money for various mission activities. December’s sales will be donated to the Lottie Moon Mission Offering to support missionaries on foreign fields. Coffee time will be 9:30-9:50 a.m. Bring your Christmas cards to church and we will deliver them to members here for you! Just donate what you would normally spend on postage to the Lottie Moon Offering. Missions Team members will make the deliveries on Wednesdays and Sundays. Deadline for cards will be Wednesday. Guatemala trip is quickly approaching. The approximate cost is $1,250. Departure will be July 1, 2013, and the return flight will be July 7. See Pastor Jay as soon as possible if you will be going. First Christian
The church is a collection site for Edge Outreach Shoes for Water. Donations of new, and used shoes to Edge Outreach create clean drinking water for people in need. Shoes of all types are acceptable – from flip-flops to high heels, from boots to football cleats. FCC is also collecting used hearing aid batteries, coupons – current or expired, cancelled postage stamps, pop tops from aluminum cans and current magazines for mission projects. Kroger gift cards may be purchased from the church. Each time a card is purchased or reloaded, the church earns 4 percent. Contact the church office for more information. The prayer chapel is open during normal office hours at 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday for anyone seeking a quiet place to pray. Two worship services are held each Sunday at 9 a.m. and 11 in the sanctuary. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m., and there are classes available for all ages. A nursery is available during Sunday school and the 11 a.m. worship service. The church is located at 1000 Eminence Pike.

First Presbyterian
Members will assemble and deliver holiday gift baskets at 8 a.m. Saturday. There are more than 100 children included in the families this year. The cost of each food basket remains at $25. The annual congregational meeting will be Sunday following worship, and there will be a luncheon in Fellowship Hall afterward. Session meets at 6 p.m. Monday with supper. Boy Scouts meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Adult choir rehearsal is at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday. Lunch is served at God's Kitchen on Thursday. Have desserts to the church by 10 a.m. Volunteers should arrive at Victory Baptist by 10:30 a.m. The Mitten Tree is up and ready to accept donations of hats, mittens, scarves, etc. These will be distributed to the schools. There will be no 8:15 a.m. service Sunday. The Adult Choir will present Silent Night! Holy Night at 10:30 a.m. Christmas conversations and refreshments will be shared at 5:53 p.m. Registration for the 2013 Upward Basketball and Cheerleading deadline is Monday. The church will host an open house from 2 p.m. to 4:30 Dec. 30 to honor Rev. Jim Robinson, who is retiring. Robinson served as minister from 2001 through 2012. Following the open house a Service in Song will be held in the sanctuary from 4:30 p.m. to 6 with soup and sandwiches served afterwards.

St. John United Methodist
The collection of clothing, all sizes, continues, especially needed are warm clothing, shoes and bedding. Eucharist is at 10 a.m. each Sunday and 12:15 p.m. Wednesday. Sunday school for ages 12 and under is at 9:45 a.m., and childcare is available for the 10 a.m. service.
