The Shelby County Community Children's Choir will present its Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The choir is directed by James Ray Morgan. There is no charge for admission. There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive at 2:30-7 p.m. Dec. 17. There will be a Candlelight Communion Service at 11 p.m. on Christmas Eve. The church is a collection site for Edge Outreach Shoes for Water. Donations of new and used shoes to Edge Outreach create clean drinking water for people in need. The church continues to collect expired/unwanted coupons for the military, used hearing-aid batteries and round plastic tops from mayo jars, soda bottles, shampoo, etc. for an art project at Painted Stone Elementary. The Backpack Project is in need of the following items: Vienna sausages, soup and canned pastas with pop tops; Pop Tarts and cereal bowls, fruit cups, peanut butter crackers, individual packages of chips, rice-crispy treats, puddings.
