The fourth Sunday of Advent's message will be “The Peace Hope Brings” from Luke 2:8-20. There will be no Children's worship or moment. As you try to find that “perfect” gift for that special someone why not consider giving the gift of love and hope by going on a mission trip? The church’s annual trip to Guatemala will be June 21-28, and the sign-up period begins now. The cost for the trip will be around $1,250 per person, which covers airfare and all in-country transportation, housing and food. The team will do the one big fish fry/silent auction fundraiser in the spring of next year, and those who participate in that event receive money from the proceeds to go towards trip costs. The Backpack Project is in need of the following items: Vienna sausages, soup and canned pastas with pop tops; Pop Tarts and cereal bowls, fruit cups, peanut butter crackers, individual packages of chips, rice-crispy treats, puddings.
