The annual homecoming will be at 3:30 Sunday, with a lunch at 2 p.m. The guest will be Rev. Ron Walker and the Church of Shelbyville. This day celebrates the church’s 100th year. The church is located on KY 55 in Finchville.

Burks Branch Baptist

The church will provide the evening meal for Open Door of Hope on Saturday. Grilled chicken will be available, and side dishes are needed. Contact Autumn Betts for information. Centenary United Methodist

The United Methodist Women will meet at the Lawrenceburg UMC for their Spiritual Growth Study Saturday. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., with the study at 10 a.m. The Local Mission Team will host the Victory Church luncheon on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. for preparation and serving at noon. Table Talk will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the parsonage. Registration can be made by calling the church office. Wednesday evening programming with catered meal begins at 6 p.m. The Adult Bible Study, at 6:30, led by the pastor, is an 8-week study from the gospel of Luke discussing the early church and how it applies to the 21st century. The annual Wild Game Feast fundraiser for the youth will be Sept. 22. More information will be coming later.

The children's community choir, SC3, will perform during the 11 a.m. service on Sunday. The outreach committee meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The CWF meets at 10 a.m. Sept. 4. The church is a collection site for Edge Outreach Shoes for Water. Donations of new and used shoes to Edge Outreach create clean drinking water for people in need. Shoes of all types are acceptable – from flip-flops to high heels, from boots to football cleats. FCC is also collecting used hearing aid batteries, coupons – current or expired, cancelled postage stamps, pop tops from aluminum cans and current magazines for mission projects. The prayer chapel is open during normal office hours at 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday for anyone seeking a quiet place to pray. First Presbyterian

The church will host the "Picnic in the Parking Lot" Friday, in conjunction with the city's Street Party Concert Series. Volunteers should start arriving to set up at 4:30 p.m. The Country Mouse is open every Sunday morning. Place your extra garden produce, jams, jellies, flowers, etc., on the counter between the Fellowship Hall and kitchen, then take something you don't have. Donations are accepted but not required. This is an opportunity for those who have raised an abundance of produce to share with those who can't have a garden. Expired grocery coupons will be collected for the military, as will new and used shoes for Edge Shoes for Water. Good Grief will gather for lunch at 12:15 Sunday at Wendy's Restaurant. Cub Scouts meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday; Boy Scouts at 7 p.m. The adult choir will practice at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday. The "Changing the World Two by Two" campaign runs all 2012. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for Heifer Project International, and well more than half has been raised.

Greater Tabernacle Baptist

Highland Baptist

The Wisdom Seekers Sunday school class will host a kitchen shower for the month of August. A list of items needed is available at the church.
