Annunciation

A fish fry is 4:30-7:30 p.m. today. All proceeds will go to scholarships and the building fund. Homebound or hospitalized? Centenary Methodist

Kids Korner will be held in the fellowship hall for grades K-5th grades at 10-noon Saturday. The Ladies Lunch Bunch will begin their seasonal outings at Wild Eggs, leaving the church at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday. Quilters meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Membership Care Team meets 7 p.m. on Thursday at the church.

 

Centennial Baptist

The church will celebrate the 208th year anniversary with guest Rev. Smith and the members of 2nd Christian Church in Lawrenceburg at the 11 a.m. service May 1.

 

Christiansburg Baptist

Choir rehearsal will be at 5 p.m. Sunday evening worship. Choir dress rehearsal will be at 5 p.m. April 23.

 

Clay Street Baptist

Spiritual Women's Ministry will be 7 p.m. Friday. Guest speaker will by Demetrius Simmons.

 

Clay Village Baptist

The fifth Sunday evening services will be May 29 with Blend as the entertainment.

 

Cropper Baptist

Youth will meet at the church at 6:30 p.m. this evening for a movie night out; contact Shannon Osten for more details. Members are asked to return their completed surveys as soon as possible to Tammy Shaw or by mailing to the church. Cub and Girl Scouts meet every Monday at 6 p.m. A short meeting will immediately follow Sunday morning worship for volunteers willing to help with Vacation Bible School, scheduled for June 17-18; contact Carrie Trotta if you are interested.

Finchville Baptist

First Baptist Shelbyville

Touched Twice Commissioning Service is at 7 tonight in the church sanctuary. Touched Twice clinic and outreach is 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Young At Heart sponsors Rev. Richard Luebbert, author of Jesus for the 21st Century. The Unified Gospel for a book signing is 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the small dining room. Young at Heart will also remember those members who have passed away since May 2010. For more information call Daisy Baxter, 633-4836. Senior Pastor Steve Rice is leading a Holy Land trip Nov. 10-19.

 

First Christian

All ladies attending the spring conference should meet at the church at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Youth groups will resume Sunday. A meeting to discuss the future of youth programming is 7 p.m. Monday. Rev. Mary Ann Lewis will facilitate the discussion. All members of the congregation are encouraged to attend the discussion. The next Wednesday night dinner is 6 p.m. Wednesday. The meal will be catered by Linda Aldridge and the cost is $6 per person. Contact the church office to make your reservation. The next church outing will be to the Whistle Stop Restaurant in Glendale on Wednesday. The bus will leave at 10:15 a.m. Contact the church office if you would like to join them. The church will soon have a new pictorial directory. Appointments are being scheduled now for portrait sessions. Contact the church office if you need to schedule an appointment. Learn about the many mission opportunities available in our community at the Mission Fair 10 a.m.-noon May 1. The CWF will meet 10 a.m. May 3 at the church. Thelma McGuire will continue her study of the book of Revelation. FCC will prepare the meal for God's Kitchen on May 5 and for the Open Door of Hope on May 21. The church is located at 1000 Eminence Pike. Dr. Dave Charlton leads both worship services. The early service begins at 9 a.m. in the chapel and the 11 a.m. service is in the sanctuary. Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. and there are classes available for all ages. The nursery is available during Sunday School and the 11 a.m. worship service.

 

First Presbyterian

Good Grief will meet for lunch at Wendy's Restaurant following worship. The Young Singers will practice at 12:15 p.m. following a brown bag lunch. Cub Scouts meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Evening Women's Bible Study Group will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dinner and child care provided. We will be serving lunch at God's Kitchen on Thursday. Volunteers should arrive by 11:00 a.m. Please have desserts to the church by 10:00 a.m.

 

Greater Tabernacle Baptist

GTBC meets each Sunday morning at the Kentucky Utilities Auditorium at 1100 Main Street Shelbyville. Rev. Leslie J. Harris is the pastor. Sunday school is at 9:30 and morning worship at 11:30.

 

Highland Baptist

The adult choir will present As Sure As My Redeemer Lives, So Shall I, at 10:30 a.m. May 1. There will be no 8:15 a.m. service.

 

New Covenant

Rev. Norris Beckley will be the guest speaker at New Covenant Church 6 p.m. Sunday. He is a minister from Kenwood Baptist Church. The Public is invited.

 

Open Door Christian Center

Woman's Missionary Union meets the third Tuesday of every month. Call the church and leave a message for further information 829-5858.

 

Pleasantview Baptist

Pastor Mike Thomas will celebrate his first anniversary as pastor Sunday. Rev. Robert Fields will be the morning speaker at 11 a.m. Afternoon guest will be Pastor Charles Duncan and his congregation of First Baptist Eminence at 3 p.m. Lunch will be served at 2 p.m.

 

Seventh Day Adventist

Kenny and Donna Morris, singers of country gospel music will be in concert at the Seventh-day Adventist Church 7 p.m. Saturday. The concert is free. The church is located at 4401 Frankfort Road.

 

Simpsonville Christian

The last topic Sunday, a 2-day retreat, is being planned. Interested couples are urged to call the church at 722-8995 before Sunday.
