IWU graduates
Four students from Shelby County were among the 1,740 students who received degrees during graduation ceremonies at Indiana Wesleyan University's main campus in Marion. Graduates from Shelbyville were Kevin Miller, bachelor of science - accounting; Kathryn Winspear, bachelor of science - management on-line. Simpsonville graduates were Dorothy Edinger, bachelor of science in nursing; Kristen Ware, bachelor of science - business administration online.

Schreiner on dean’s list at Kansas
Keri Schreiner finished the fall semester at the University of Kansas on the dean’s list with a 3.75 grade-point average. She has a double-major in environmental policy and political science. Schreiner is a graduate of Shelby County High School and the daughter of Bruce and Victoria Schreiner of Shelbyville.

EKU recognizes Shelby students
Eastern Kentucky University recognized 949 graduates at the conclusion of the Fall 2010 semester. EKU graduates include Karen E. Preston of Bagdad, art; Joseph W. Anderson of Shelbyville, construction management; and Danielle Nicole Lipscomb of Waddy, psychology.

On the president's were Sarah Michelle Andrews, psychology; Molly Vivianne Delgado, special education teach/L&B disord P-12; Courtney James Rogers, sociology; Haley Vidal Shepherd, sociology; Erica Brieann Stormes, criminal justice; and Dana Louise Goodlett, anthropology.

On the dean's list were Sarah Michelle Andrews, psychology; Jessica Lynn Buschkoetter, elementary education teaching; Holly Danielle DeVary, elementary education teaching; Molly Vivianne Delgado, special education teach/L&B disord P-12; Stephen Robert Fox, communication studies; Raechele Janiece Gray, public relations; Courtney James Rogers, sociology; Haley Vidal Shepherd, sociology; Erica Brieann Stormes, criminal justice; Dana Louise Goodlett, anthropology; and Laura Megan Wells, elementary education teaching.

To earn the dean's award, students must achieve dean's list honors at EKU for three semesters, not necessarily consecutive. Shelbyville students were Holly Danielle DeVary, elementary education teaching; Courtney James Rogers, sociology; and Haley Vidal Shepherd, sociology.
