Mid-Continent grads from Shelby

Shelby County students received recognition during commencement ceremonies for Mid-Continent University. They were Karen Dallas Sams of Shelbyville, cum laude, bachelor of science in psychology and counseling; and Amanda Michelle Peach of Bagdad, associate of science.


Cumberlands graduates from Shelby

Students from Shelby county who graduated from the University of the Cumberlands were Randall Gilpin with a MAT degree in P12 special ed LBD; Tiffany Roberts with a MAE degree in read write specialist P to 12; Emily Swindler with a MAE degree in instructional leadership principal all G; and Amber Valerio with a MAE degree in read write specialist P to 12.


Shelby students honored at Campbellsville

Shelby County students named to Campbellsville University's president's list for fall 2012 were Sarah Elaine Haven, a senior from Shelbyville; Troy Evans Logsdon, a senior from Shelbyville; and Hannah Beth Boyd, a senior from Simpsonville. Students named to the fall dean's list were Dustin Joseph Bennett, a freshman from Finchville; Hannah Spencer George, a freshman of Shelbyville; Matthew Edward Schmuck, a junior of Shelbyville; Rachel Cathryn Shannon, a senior of Shelbyville; Alex Kenton Warford, a senior of Shelbyville; and Maria Danielle Metcalf, a sophomore of Simpsonville. The academic honors' list recognizes students who achieve a grade-point average of 3.50 or above for the semester with a course load of at least 12 hours, the president's list for achieving a 4.0 and dean's list for achieving a 3.5 to 3.99 GPA.
