Brown receives degree from Georgia Tech
Sarah Brown
of Finchville has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. She was among approximately 2,700 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech's 245th commencement exercises.

Girls Day Out at Campbellsville
Campbellsville University's Baptist Campus Ministry hosts many activities during the year, and one recent one was Girls Day Out, which allowed local youngsters a time of feeling beautiful and being like “princesses.” The event brought together 71 girls from the Campbellsville community and 26 volunteers, including Sarah Haven of Shelbyville.

Hager makes deans list at McKendree
Michael Hager,
a McKendree University student from Shelbyville, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2013 semester by maintaining a grade-point average of 3.60 or higher for the term.

Hamblen graduates, Eiler honored at Hanover
Nick Hamblen
was among the 208 students who received the Bachelor of Arts degree during Hanover College's 180th annual commencement. He majored in political science and French, is the son of Samuel and Donna Hamblen of Shelbyville and graduated from Shelby County High School.
Ivana Eiler
was among the nearly 300 students who earned dean's list honors for the winter-spring 2013 semester. She is a sophomore classical studies major, the daughter of Tom and Kyong Eiler of Shelbyville and a graduate of Shelby County High School.

Mahan honored at NKU
Britt Mahan
of Shelbyville was named to the president's honors list at Northern Kentucky University for the 2013 spring semester, attaining a 4.0 grade-point average. She was also named to the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for recognition of merit and accomplishments as a student at NKU in 2013. She is a junior, with a double major in acting and criminology.
