Brandon Brown had his best finish of the year on the Hooters Tour stop at Cherry Blossom Country Club in Georgetown this past weekend.
Brown, a native of Shelby County who played at Eastern Kentucky University, shot 12-under-par 276 to finish 10th in the ADI Classic, eight strokes behind winner Jeff Corr.
After opening with an even-par 72 that put him in jeopardy of missing the cut, Brown shot 66, 69 and 69 to move up the leaderboard.
This top-10 finish came in Brown’s sixth event of the season, and he now has made the cut in half those events, including an 18th place finish at the Amelia Island Plantation NGA Classic. He also moved up 14 spots on the tour’s money list to No. 67.
Earlier last month, Brown competed in his first Nationwide Tour event, placing 44th at the tour stop in Greenville, S.C.
