The Shelby County Board of Education will be making decisions about the new Martha Layne Collins High School at its meeting Thursday night while also honoring its namesake.
The board is set to consider how to bid out the athletic facilities at the new school, which has been a topic of discussion in the past few weeks.
Superintendent James Neihof said he expects board members to vote to seek bids for a multi-purpose stadium at Collins for football, soccer and track, as well as separately for softball and baseball game fields.
