Amanda Barger and Kurwin Soudom of Shelbyville announce the birth of their first child, a son, on Aug. 8, 2012, at Norton Suburban Hospital. He has been named Graysin Lloyd Soudom. Born at 5:55 p.m., he weighed 8 pounds and 11 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

Great-grandparents are JoAnn Willett of Battletown,Shirley Soudom of South Africa, the late Lloyd “Pete” Willett, the late Dorthy Barger, the late Harvey Mitchell, the late Clive and Noreen Berg and the late Donald Soudom.
