Big Goal example

Southside Elementary students had the chance to hear about setting BIG Goals toward college and career – and to see that they can be achieved. Lt. Abby Rigney (right), a graduate of Shelby County High School, told them her goal was set in middle school to graduate from the Naval Academy and to serve in the U.S. Navy. She did both, has traveled around the world and heads for Afghanistan in January. Rigney, the daughter of Bob and Nancy Rigney, answered questions from Felipe Shiffer and Vicki Arroyo after the presentation.
