Biagi wins artist award

Laura Biagi received a 2012-2013 Kentucky Emerging Artist Award for fiction writing. She is one of seven artists who were awarded $1,000 each as recipients of the award. The award is presented by the Kentucky Arts Council, with funding provided by the Kentucky General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts. Emerging Artist Awards are given to emerging professional artists in the early stages of their careerwho demonstrate a high level of excellence and creativity. Laura is the daughter of Robert and Marcia Biagi of Shelbyville.
