The Bekaert Corporation is planning a temporary layoff, plant officials confirmed Thursday.
Plant Manager Kendall Hall would not say how many employees will be laid off or how long the layoff will last, only that is temporary.
He had no other comment.
The plant is located at 2000 Isaac Shelby Drive. The facility was established in 1990 and manufacturers steel wire and staple products.
The plant employed 112 people in 2008.
