The Shelby County High School marching band was one of 120 bands across the state that welcomed Gov. Steve Beshear to his first day in the governor's office during the inaugural parade Tuesday morning.
Bryan Ellis, SCHS band director, said that the band was excited to have the privilege of playing in the parade. He said that the band has been performing at a high level this year.
"Shelby County will definitely be well represented," he said.
