GEORGETOWN – A 66-year-old Bagdad man has been charged with sexually abusing two students at Scott County's Royal Spring Middle School where he worked as a substitute teacher.
Edwin Casper was arrested by Kentucky State Police at his home on Saturday, one day after Scott County Schools officials notified Georgetown police of allegations that a substitute teacher had inappropriately touched two students.
Casper was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He was released from the Shelby County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
First-degree sexual abuse is a Class C felony under Kentucky law, punishable by five to 10 years in prison.
