A fire that heavily damaged a home in Bagdad has some suspicious elements, so much so that an investigation has been launched into the cause of the blaze, officials say.
Bagdad Fire Chief Rusty Newton said that just before the call of a fire at 6046 Elmburg Road came in at 8 p.m. Sunday night, a call had gone out for a domestic dispute at the residence. Because of that, he said, his crews had to wait until sheriff’s deputies arrived and declared the scene safe for firefighters.
