Tickets for ‘South Pacific’ go on sale today at theater
Tickets go on sale today for Shelby County Community Theatre’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific.
The musical, directed by Cyndi Powell Skellie, with musical direction by Lynne McReynolds Chenault, will be staged at 7:30 p.m. on July 19-20 and July 26-27 and 2:30 p.m. on July 21 and 28.

Art Fest added to Jubilee lineup
An inaugural Art Fest this year will join the lineup for the annual Shelbyville Horse Show Jubilee, which will be July 25-27.
The Art Fest we be on the afternoon/evening of July 27 in downtown Shelbyville, along with the downtown car show, the Street Party concert and Chalk Fest for children. Shelby County Community Theatre will offer its summer musical, South Pacific, and The Gallery is open on Main Street.
Art Fest is an opportunity for artists to show and market their works on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no charge to reserve a space, and art will not be juried. Artists must provide their own tables, chairs and other set-ups. No electricity is available. All sales are the responsibility of the artists.

‘Duck Dynasty’ at fair
Willie, Korie, Si and Kay Robertson, stars of A&E’s Duck Dynasty, will entertain fans of the reality show and outdoor enthusiasts alike on the last day of the 2013 Kentucky State Fair. “A Conversation with the Robertsons” will be a part of the Main Stage Concert Series in Freedom Hall, at 3 p.m. Aug. 25.
Duck Dynasty,A&E’s most-watched series, features a Louisiana bayou family living the American dream as they operate a thriving family business.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, for $48 and $38, including Kentucky State Fair gate admission, at the Freedom Hall and Kentucky International Convention Center ticket offices and all Ticketmaster outlets. Charge by phone at 800-745-3000 or at www.ticketmaster.com.
