Woman released on own recognizance without bond

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday arrested Amanda McGuire in connection the theft of 21 guns and some jewelry valued at $30,000, and she was released a few hours later on her own recognizance without bond.

Sheriff’s Det. Eric Hettinger, the arresting officer, said that once his office located and questioned McGuire, she “gave admission of the crime.”

The Class B felony charge of first-degree burglary carries a possible sentence of between 10 and 20 years.
