Armed robber hits local businesses

Two businesses on Taylorsville Road were robbed at gunpoint less than a week apart.

Shelbyville Sheriff's Detective Jason Rice said investigators feel confident the same man is involved in both hold-ups because the method of the robbery and the description of the perpetrator is identical.

Both businesses were robbed near closing time, according to Shelby County Sheriff's Detective Jason Rice. Gamestop located at 107 Jeanie Road, was robbed at gunpoint Friday night. Subway, located at 93 Howard Drive, was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night.
