Comer rallies support
for Hornback’s hemp bill
Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner James Comer this week praised Senate Bill 50 filed by state Sen. Paul Hornback (R-Shelbyville), the chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee, that introduces legislation to legalize industrial hemp.
Comer and U.S. Sen. Rand Paul have been outspoken supporters of this measure, and Comer told the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors that Hornback’s bill has bipartisan support in the General Assembly.
