Every year Shelby County High School graduates earn thousands upon thousands of dollars to further their educations, and this year’s Senior Awards Ceremony at First Baptist Church was no different.
Principal Eddie Oakley got the ceremony started by welcoming the students and the family, and noted how graduation was still 11 days off.
“This is the year that seems like it keeps going and going and going,” he said, jokingly referring to the 10 days added to the school calendar because of winter weather.
