Robert E. and Eva Watson will celebrate 60 years of marriage on Jan. 19, 2011. The couple was married at the Graefenburg Christian Church by the groom father's, George W. Watson, who was the minister of the church for 14 years.
View MapThe couple has four children, Kenneth of Greenville, Ind., Janice of Flatwood, Douglas of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kimberly of Cincinnati.
Robert Watson was employed by L&N/CSX Railroad for 41 years and retired as manager of overclaims/rates in Jacksonville, Fla., in July 1987. He also served as minister of various Christian churches for more than 50 years.
Eva Watson, the former Eva Marie Hammond, is a native of Frankfort County and was employed by the State Highway Department and L&N Railroad before becoming a full-time housewife.
The couple now resides in Louisville. He is a minister of Union Chapel Christian Church in Laconia, Ind.
