Four Shelby County students are among those who have been rewarded for their efforts at the Kentucky Historical Society's 2011 Kentucky History Day district three contest, held recently at the Frazier International History Museum in Louisville.
The theme for this year's contest is "Debate and Diplomacy in History: Successes, Failures and Consequences."
Eighteen schools, seven counties and 109 students competed for a chance to advance to the state contest, with the top three receiving a medal. The top five advance to state.
