30th anniversary: Chris and Katy Kleymeyer

Chris and Katy Kleymeyer have been married for 30 years. The couple was married Sept. 10, 1983.

They moved to Shelbyville in 2004 from Fort Knox when Col. Kleymeyer retired after 30 years as a military policeman, where he was the commander of the Fort Knox Military Police. He is now the director of training for the Department of Corrections in Kentucky’s Justice and Public Safety Cabinet.

She is the former Katy C. Huntelmann, of Fort Mitchell and is employed at Bluegrass Checking in Shelbyville.

They have two daughters, Tiffany and Danielle; and a son-in-law Lieutenant Joseph Kegan Davis, who is currently deployed in southwest Asia.
