2nd-quarter defense grounds the Flyers

A huge second period propelled the Collins boys’ basketball team to its third consecutive victory to start the season Tuesday night.

The Titans outscored host Franklin County, 30-11, over the second eight minutes on their way to an 83-55 victory in Frankfort.

“We had a lot of intensity on defense, and we pushed the ball in transition and got some easy baskets,” Collins Coach Chris Gaither said.
