‘Romantic Revel’ at library

-A A +A

A “Romantic Revel” at the Shelby County Public Library provided a history lesson. The men gathered on one side of the room and the women on the other, acting shy and uncertain what to do. It was a charade for the performance of “Charming Waltz” composed by Charles Kinkel. The men and women knew exactly what to do since most had been participants from 10 to 20 years with the Lexington Vintage Dancers. They presented ballroom dances of the mid-1800s at the Shelby County Public Library on June 12.
